The October meeting of the Big Flat 4-H Club was held on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2019, at the Turner Christian Church. Before our business meeting, we held a fun day to encourage potential new members to join. Blaine County Extension Agent, Juliann Snedigar, spoke about 4-H, the wide variety of projects that are available, expectations and the life-long benefits that it has to offer. The Big Flat 4-H Club met at Reed’s Elevator on Nov. 18, 2018 at noon. There were eight members present and three leaders. Roll call was a favorite Thanksgiving dish. Bailey and Hannah gave a report on 4-H Achievement Night that was held in Chinook last Sunday. The club voted to get matching t-shirts from Maloney Metalworks, and also to go ice skating for our December outing. There were 11 members, 2 potential members, and 4 leaders present. Reports were given by Natalie and Brooke on the 4-H Week window displays and Bailey for the Elk Viewing. The Big Flat 4-H Club had their November meeting at Reed’s Elevator on Sunday, Nov. 19, at noon. We replaced burned out/broken bulbs on the town Christmas decorations, then Chet and Shandel Fouts got them hung up around Turner. We had a potluck lunch and then our 4-H business meeting. Hannah gave a report on 4-H Achievement Night. We decided to play Bingo, games, and caroling with the Senior Citizens in Harlem for our Christmas Party. The Big Flat 4-H Club held its first meeting of the new 4-H year on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Turner Lutheran Church. There were 6 members, four leaders, and four new members present. Bridget gave a report on cleaning out the town planters. Bailey and Quin gave a report on National 4-H Week. Anita reported on Christmas bulbs, and will order more from Harlem Lumber. We will replace the bulbs on the town ornaments at the next meeting.
