The Chinook Community Blood Drive was a great success. We collected a total of 46 pints on a goal of 40. Great job Chinook!! Each donation can save up to 3 lives. Considering the weather we have been experiencing all winter, the turnout for the blood drive on Tuesday, March 6th was just under goal. We had 47 donors present with 41 productive units. We had one first time donor, Cristen Friede. Richard Cronk reached 8 gallons and Dave Jensen reached 2 gallons. The next American Red Cross Blood Drive will be Tuesday, January 9th in Chinook at Wallner Hall. The Red Cross will be accepting walk-ins only from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Appointments and walk-ins will be accepted between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.. There were 40 people out and about who braved the cold and windy weather on Tuesday November 7th to stop by and donate blood. Of those 40 there were 35 viable pints on a goal of 40.
