    The Junior High teams of Turner School came to a close this past weekend as they competed in the 9C Junior High Tournament in Gildford. Both teams had a good season and have no reason to hang their heads. The boys were coached by Dalton Cornell while the girls were coached by Darci Ammen.     The Blaine County Health Department recently announced the winner of the Poster contest that was held earlier this fall. The winner from Turner School was 5th grader Savannah Heilig. Savannah received an artist kit for her efforts. The Department encourages everyone to participate again next year to help bring Mental Health Awareness.     The Turner School held a Veteran's Day celebration on the playground at their school on Veterans Day 2021. Many local Veterans came for the program and were socially distanced in their cars on the edge of the playground. The group recited the Pledge and then a short reading was read by Laci Maloney, Student Council President. The First and Second Grade sang, "God Bless America."     The 2021 Homecoming was held this past weekend on Turner's Main Street. A carnival hosted by grades 7 and 8 kicked off the festivities. A variety of games, including Bingo, was held as well as corn dogs and Taco's in a bag. Everyone loved eating out for the day and having fun with the kids.     This year was a bit of a challenge for gardening on the Big Flat due to the shortage of rain showers. But, persistence wins the whoppers award for a few gardeners in the area.     The 7th Annual Tristan Billmayer Suicide Walk was recently held on the Big Flat. It was a beautiful day for the walk on the Big Flat under Montana's Big Sky Country. There was a great turn out for the event and walkers consisted of various groups and individuals. Some rode bicycles or side by sides, while others either ran or walked.     The Turner School was elated to receive a $5,000.00 check from Northwest Farm Credit Services this past May. The money was presented to Superintendent, Mr. Tony Warren, who applied for the money.     The entire Turner School pulled together and held its annual Earth Day Clean Up. This event was sponsored by the School's National Honor Society.
