June 9th - We had a beautiful day out on the Big Flat for Memorial Day. It is normally windy if not rain or snow. Services were well attended. Elissa and Jordan Zellmer and Family were in Fort Benton over the weekend to attend Bailey Johnson’s wedding. The Krass Girls were here during the week to help their mother, Jane Krass . It’s a dreary day again here on the Big Flat. We have received a small amount of rain and a little snow that melted as it hit the ground. We could use a good soaking rain to give the crops a boost to grow. Maybe it will come yet. Lets hope so. The Senior Class returned Saturday evening from their Senior Trip to Coeur d’Alene, ID where they toured and did variety of things, and then on to Fairmont Hot Springs for their last days of the trip. Mary Ellen and Wayne Deloach have returned to their home on the Big Flat. It is so nice when our neighbors return home. .They returned to the Homestead on Tuesday and will be staying awhile to visit family and friends. Some of the farmers in the community have finished putting in their crops. It would be nice to get a little rain now to help it come up.
