That Chinook wind sure does help to keep the heat down, but why does it have to blow all the time? I wish it would just rain once or twice a week to keep the plants thriving and the heat down, but Montana doesn’t work that way. The weather does what the weather does and not you or I or nobody can change it, we just have to accept it. Just a reminder; membership dues are $10.00 a year, and are due by June 30th. FYI: Just a reminder that we need to remember to start dialing out the whole telephone number, even if it’s just across the street. So...

What a wet weekend but oh, so needed. Everything should green up now and start growing. Time for the lawn mowers to come out again. But then we are rewarded with the smell of fresh cut grass. We have a new assistant cook at the center, so if you get the chance come in and say hi to Crystal. Our condolences to the Tilleman Family, Billmeyer Family, and the Allen Family. The weather just does whatever it wants to do. Spits snow and rain on us then turns really cold and windy, then it warms up and is as beautiful as can be, and ten minutes later does it all over again. FYI: Starting April 24th we need to remember to start dialing out the whole telephone number, even if it’s just across the street. So to call the senior center after the 23rd you would dial 406-357-2648 to contact us. So please remember to start with the 406 when you dial a call in town, just like you would in state. This will be the way of it b...

Well the weather sure turned on us again. Snow, sleet, rain… it just can’t seem to decide what it wants to do. We need the moisture desperately if we are going to get through this year without fires popping up all over the state, but I wish it would just pick one and not give us all three. Virginia Olson got 400 in Jacks while playing pinochle here on Tuesday. Way to go Virginia. Irene Gauthier won the Blackout in Bingo on Thursday. Good job Irene. We have music on Fridays from 10 a.m. till noon; it’s good to hear them play for us again. Pleas...

The weather sure seems to be fickle about what it wants to do, snow one minute and the sun shining the next, but the wind always seems to be blowing in one direction or the other. What we really need is some moisture in the ground; it is going to be a really dry summer if it doesn’t start raining on us. I still have not heard about when a nurse will be available for a foot clinic, but as soon as I do I will let you know. FYI: Starting April 24th we need to remember to start dialing out the whole telephone number, even if it’s just across the...

Have you noticed that you can’t hear people quite as well as you used to before everyone wore masks? Chances are that you have been compensating for any hearing loss by being able to read lips while someone was speaking to you and now that we have to wear masks, we can no longer read lips and find ourselves saying “what?” a lot more. If you find that you have hearing loss, get it checked out with a hearing specialist. Our condolences to the families of Janet Olson and Betty Haldeman. Our Meals This Week Wed. Nov. 25 Lasagna Thu. Many folks may have experienced boredom at some point, and in this time of pandemic, many may experience prolonged boredom leading to feelings of isolation and signs of depression. Seniors are especially vulnerable to these feelings. Life changes such as retirement, changes in health and independence, and personal loss can all be contributing factors. The pandemic we are experiencing may further compound these feelings due to social distancing and avoidance of usual social activities. It is important that we take good care of ourselves and reac...
