The Chinook Lion and Harlem swim teams were in Roundup June 24-25, with both teams performing very well. The Lions again secured several High Point Trophies while the Harlem swimmers got quality time in the pool for their up and coming younger swimmers. Zack Schellin is a 2015 graduate of Chinook High school and currently works as the producer of the Montana this Morning show at KTVQ in Billings. The Chinook Lions Swim travelled to Plentywood the first weekend of June to get their 2023 summer swim season underway. The PAWS Animal Shelter in Chinook is set to host its second ever adoption event on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at North 40 in Havre, MT. The theme for this event is 'Adopt Your Next Adventure' and looks to build upon the success of the first event. The idea of holding an adoption event came about in December, 2022 and quickly became a reality with North 40 jumping on board ready to help in any way possible. The Chinook School Board has been actively seeking new methods to better serve the districts in relation to getting students safely to and from the school. At the May regular schedule board meeting time was allocated to Consideration of Bus Routes and Individual Transportation Contracts for the 2023-24 School Year.
