    The 6th Annual Blaine County Cruise turned out to be a huge success despite some inclement weather throughout the Friday-Saturday event. A total of 52 entries took part in the cruise and challenge events Saturday. Registration took place Friday evening at the Blaine County Fairgrounds and again Saturday morning while breakfast was being served.     The Chinook Lions and Harlem swim teams each took a portion of their full roster and made the long trek east to Plentywood to take part in the two day meet. While the two teams number may have been down for the meet, the results the teams posted were still at a very high level.     The Chinook Lions hosted their own Invitational this past weekend. Teams from all over north central Montana were on hand for the event including Harlem, Malta and Big Sandy. The Lions were strong in the pool again as the captured both the team title and relay championship.     The second Annual Fathers Day Snake Butte Fishing Derby looks to repeat the success of last years event with many awards and prizes for all in attendance. The event will take place at beautiful Snake Butte Reservoir on Route 66, mile marker 35. Awards will be presented to children while cash prizes and door prizes will be awarded to adults.     The final weekend of the high school track and field season saw several local athletes compete on the big stage at the Class B and Class C State meets. The Chinook Sugarbeeters, Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds and Turner Tornadoes were represented in Missoula at the Class C while the Harlem Wildcats were in Bozeman for the Class B.     Thinclads from Chinook, Hays/Lodge Pole and Turner competed in the District 9C Track and Field meet in Havre Friday.     The Chinook Sugarbeeters hosted their own invitational to end the regular season for high school golf. The Sugarbeeters had seven medalist on the day including four boys and three girls.     The Chinook Sugarbeeter track and field teams had another good showing last Thursday as the girls scored 80 points on the day to finish second in the team standings. The sprints have been very good for the 'Beeter girls this season and Thursday in Cut Bank was no different. Freshman Megan Molyneaux edged out senior Kailey Kleinjan by the slimmest of margins.     Harlem junior sprinter Damon Adams has had a outstanding performance on the track the past ten days winning both the 200 meter dash and 400 meter dash at the Scottie Qualifier in Glasgow last Monday (April 18).     The high school golf season has reached its midway point and the Chinook Sugarbeeters are playing better and better each time out. The boys led by senior Ian McIntosh claimed another team title winning the Whitewater Invitational, which was played on the Malta course. Girls and boys teams from Chinook, Harlem, Hays Lodgepole and Turner all completed in the annual Cal Wearley track and field meet this last Wednesday in Havre.
