    The Turner Tornadoes hosted the Box Elder Bears this past Tuesday in their first contest of the new year. Turner has been steadily improving since day one and gave the Bears all they could handle in a hard fought 57-52 set back. Turner started a little slow against the Bears, trailing 13-5 after eight minutes of action.     The Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation (FOPP) have been working tirelessly for the past 30 months to raise funds and awareness to save the Chinook City Pool and Park. The facilities have seen significant deterioration through the years and are in dire need of being repaired. The local pool and park are such a pivotal part of the community and provide so much that repairing these facilities is paramount.     The Chinook Sugarbeeters and Harlem Wildcat and Lady Cat wrestling teams were in Chester this past Thursday for a mixer and Cut Bank on Friday and Saturday for the Cut Bank Invitational. The Lady Cats collected three second place finishers while placing six out of seven wrestlers on the podium to finish 2nd in the team race.     The Friends of the Pool and Park Foundation held a Chinook Community Ice Skating get together on Saturday, December 17. Despite the temperature being just 13 degrees when it got underway at 3:00 pm in the afternoon, the weather had little effect on those in attendance.
