The Harlem Volleyball and Cross Country teams have had to adjust their schedules numerous times this fall with cancellations and rescheduling. For the third week in a row the volleyball team got to compete just one time while their other scheduled match was canceled. Cross Country didn't get an opportunity to compete this week either and with fall sports being a question mark in general, having the kids get together is a nice gesture. For the most part the kids don't really have an opportunity t...
A campaign that may seem new to the area has actually been going on in some way for several years. Folks travelling through residential neighborhoods in our communities may have noticed Blue Lights illuminated at the entrance to some homes. The Blue light is serving as a reminder to recognize and honor those individuals who dedicate their lives to public service as City Police Officers, Sheriff Department Deputies or in various other forms of Law Enforcement. Similar forms of recognition are familiar to us like the ‘Green Light a Vet’ pro...

Without question the vast majority of those men and women that take the selfless act to serve their communities, state and country by becoming involved in law enforcement have done so with outstanding service, valor and integrity the position requires. Very few individuals have the courage to do a vital job, that comes with high risk to one's self, with little gratitude and often requires dealing with folks who are not having the best of days. Chinook High School is by no means big, even by...
