Stockholders of both Northwest Farm Credit Services and Farm Credit West have overwhelmingly approved a merger of their associations to form AgWest Farm Credit – a new association serving more than 22,000 customers throughout seven western states. The 'Beeters returned to the court for the first time in the new year this past Tuesday when they hosted the Chester/Joplin-Inverness Hawks. The 'Beeters fell to the Hawks 58-32. Chinook bounced back in a big way collecting a 56-47 win in Harlem against the Wildcats Friday night and a 53-45 win at home Saturday night against the Turner Tornadoes to pick up their first two wins of the season. The Hays/LodgePole Thunderbirds began the new year on the road against the Fort Benton Longhorns. The Longhorns jumped out to a 24-6 lead after eight minutes of action. The Harlem Wildcats are battling every second they are on the court. The young Wildcats have been facing a tough road with just very limited varsity experience on the roster. The Turner Tornadoes hosted the Box Elder Bears this past Tuesday in their first contest of the new year. Turner has been steadily improving since day one and gave the Bears all they could handle in a hard fought 57-52 set back. The facilities have seen significant deterioration through the years and are in dire need of being repaired.
