    If one thing is for certain its that the Harlem girls basketball team is capable of playing very well for stretches during the course of a game, but they have struggled to string that play together for 32 minutes. Head coach Laramie Schwenke has commented on the team needing to play better for longer stretches each time they step on the court.     The still young but very experienced Turner Tornado girls varsity basketball team went 2-1 last week defeating Dodson 50-36 Tuesday night. Friday the girls took down the Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds 39-19 at home. Saturday they fell to the Chinook Sugarbeeters on the road 52-34.     The Chinook Sugarbeeter wrestling team was nearly complete this weekend in Cut Bank as senior Kevin Young wrestled for the first time and senior Jake Norby is expecting to return this weekend when the team travels to Fairfield Thursday and the Choteau Classic Friday and Saturday. The team is still impressive on the mat finishing sixth overall this weekend.     The Hays/Lodge Pole girls basketball team remains winless on the season following losses Friday and Saturday to District 9C opponents. Friday the girls were defeated in Turner 39-19. Sophomore Miquela Perez scored eight points in the contest. Freshman Latasha Kirkaldie added five including a first quarter triple. Saturday the girls took to the road to face the Fort Benton Longhorns in another District 9C clash.   • Judges needed for CHS sponsored Speech and Drama tournament

    The Chinook High School's Speech and Drama Club expects about 20 regional high schools to participate in an upcoming tournament scheduled in Chinook for Saturday, January 16. There will be more than 150 students participating in a wide range of competitive events throughout the day. Locals are being asked to serve as volunteer judges for the events throughout the day.     The Hogeland/Turner Lions Club hosted their annual New Year's Eve party this past Thursday evening. They served a delicious pork dinner with potluck side dishes.
