The Chinook Sugarbeeters used a strong fourth quarter to get past a pesky Chester Joplin Inverness Hawks team 42-33 Friday evening. The Harlem girls varsity basket ball team picked up a nice non-conference win over the Cut Bank Wolves Saturday 63-62. They fell to the Rocky Boy Morning Stars on Friday 53-44. Harlem has played very well at times throughout the season and Saturday in Cut Bank the girls came out on the right side of a nail-biter earning a tough one point win. The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds picked up their first District 9C win of the season earning a 49-38 win over the Big Sandy Pioneers Friday. Saturday the girls fell to the North Star Knights 56-32. The Pioneers got the best of the Thunderbirds back in early January but a solid team effort turned the tables the second time the teams met. The Turner High School celebrated their 2016 Homecoming this past week. During spirit week, each day was designated to do something fun and unique throughout the school.
