    The Harlem Wildcats are headed to the Northern B Divisional in Malta this weekend following a strong performance at the District 2B tournament. Harlem began tournament play against the fifth seeded Wolf Point Wolves Thursday night earning a 73-54 victory and securing their spot in this weeks divisional.     The plan was always to advance to the Northern B Divisional and following a pair of wins in Glasgow at the District 2B tournament the Harlem girls basketball team is doing just that. It wasn't easy though, as the Lady Cats slipped by the Poplar Indians in the play in the game Thursday night. Friday they were handed a 77-25 loss by the undefeated Malta M-ettes.     The Turner Tornadoes faced a tough draw when they began play in the District 9C boys basketball tournament this past weekend at the Havre High School gymnasium. In the opener they faced the number two seeded Chester-Joplin-Inverness Hawks falling 90-41. In the loser out bracket the number seven seed Tornadoes squared with the number six seed Fort Benton Longhorns.   • Thunderbirds conclude girls basketball season at 9C tournament

    The Hays/Lodge/Pole Thunderbirds season came to an end at the District 9C tournament following a pair of losses. In the opener they fell to the Chinook Sugarbeeters 83-14. Junior Maxine Plainfeather tallied five points for the Thunderbirds in the contest. Friday morning the team faced the Turner Tornadoes in loser out action. Hays/Lodge Pole was much more competitive but the Tornadoes experience prevailed as the Thunderbirds season ended with a 67-33 loss.     Michael Warburton, Reporter The February meeting of the Paradise Pals 4-H club was held in the library meeting room on Feb. 21, 2016. The meeting was called to order by President Erika Anderson.
