The Zurich Association of Parents (ZAP), the group planning the Zurich Elementary School All-Class Reunion scheduled for June 13, met on February 5 to firm-up their reunion plans. They discussed issues related to getting the word out, developing a registration form, executing a pie-making plan, finding a new Master of Ceremonies, designing t-shirts, and designating other event-related tasks. Earlier this month, Director Grant Olson announced the cast for the touring dinner theatre that will travel throughout the region from mid-March to the beginning of May. Auditions were held Monday evening, February 3, at the Montana Actor’s Theater (MAT) on the campus of MSU-Northern for three female and two male roles in the original play Ticked Off written by Rachel Hutchison. The Turner boys and girls basketball teams participated this weekend in the District 9C tournament. Congratulations to the girls team for their second place finish. They advance to the Divisional tournament this week in Great Falls. They play their first game on Thursday at 7:00 at the Four Seasons Arena. The Elementary students started basketball this Monday. Georgia Ann (Ehlang) Flattum was born December 28th, 1933 in Chinook, MT. to Ole and Agnes Ehlang. She was born a twin to brother George (Sam) Ehlang and grew up in a large, happy family. Georgia Ann attended school in Chinook and graduated from Chinook High School in 1951. After graduation, she worked for the USDA-ASCS for many years before transferring to Bozeman in 1958. Shortly after her move, she met her late husband, J. Russell Flattum, and the two married in 1959. They would go on to have three children: Gary Sherry, and Dale....

Her family moved to Seattle, where she met and married Robert Bade in 1948 and worked for Frederick and Nelson department store. She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Seattle where she sang in the choir, worked with their social action group, and helped in the local soup kitchen. A group of Harlem Lutheran Church teens received their own special Bible this past Sunday at their regular church services. Jack Siemens presented them with their own book of Holy Scriptures. They were very happy to have such a special ceremony. These children will hold this gift from their church very special for many years to come....

We had some really nice weather for the weekend, just to wake up Monday morning to more snow. I really wish the weather would just pick something and stick with it.
