    Prior to the start of the Northern C Divisional Boys Basketball Championship the Chinook Sugarbeeters and the Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds line up for player introductions.     On Feb. 14, 2019, Region 6 Havre wardens received a TIP-MONT call about a dead bull elk approximately two miles north of Cow Creek Reservoir off Lloyd Road in Blaine Co., about 30 miles south of Chinook. Wardens responded to the area and located a seven-by-seven bull elk. Another dead six-by-six bull elk was then found nearby.     John Jens (Jack) O'Brien, a long time resident of Chinook, died peacefully on February 22, 2019 in Chinook with his family close by. Jack was delivered by a midwife in Chinook on September 18, 1922. He was raised by his Dad and his O'Brien aunts after his mother died in a kitchen fire accident when he was 2 years old.     Allie Marie Umsted Uyehara, age 92, died February 5, 2019 at her daughter Vera's home in Wheeling, WV. Allie Marie died due to complications of the disease Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), after a long battle of 10 years.
