Wynn Zellmer, Darwin Zellmer, Laura Sherwood, and Loretta Zellmer traveled to Tomah, Wisconsin to attend a funeral service for their last remaining uncle, Leroy Strait last week. While there they also attended a funeral of their cousin, Roland Kuehl. They returned home on Tuesday. John LeRoy Downhour, 85, passed away due to natural causes on Thursday, February 28, 2019, at Northern Montana Care Center. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, viewing commenced an hour prior to the service, at Holland and Bonine Funeral Home. The Chinook Sugarbeeters are headed to a Boys State Basketball Tournament for the first time in 33 years. Back in 1986 the Sugarbeeters claimed the State Class B Championship with a 65-64 win over the Lodge Grass Indians in Butte. The single judge system will be used for all Montana Seed Show exhibits excluding The People’s Choice Awards and the panel judging used for the Pie and Bread Departments.
