  • Turner Students promote Autism Awareness, celebrate Earth Day

    Turner School observed Earth Day this past Thursday. Students and Staff, k-12, took to the streets to pick up trash and haul it to the dumpsters. Afterwards they were rewarded for their efforts for a few minutes of play time and being "a kid!" The Junior and High School students teamed up with the younger students for some good mentoring and fun.     Teams are prepping this week for the District 9C Meet in Havre next Wednesday and the District 2B Meet on Saturday, May 11 in Wolf Point. In their final week of preparation, the Chinook Sugarbeeters, Harlem Wildcats and Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds were in Malta on Thursday.     The Chinook High School Golf Team had another superb week on the course as the girls won the Shelby Invitational on Thursday and qualified their fifth team member for the State C in Seely, March 15-16 Friday in Fort Benton.     On Saturday, May 4, the Blaine County Fairgrounds Commercial Building will play host to the "Rope Your Dreams," Rebecca Stroh Gala.     On Thursday, April 18, the fifth graders at Meadowlark Elementary held their Wax Museum in the school's gymnasium. A sizable crowd gathered to see the presentation of Heroes and Heroines who had made an impact on United States history. Each student in turn approached the microphone and delivered a brief narrative in which he/she gave the historical figure's name and birth date.     In preparation for the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner, a crew spent numerous hours cleaning and decorating the Commercial Building at the Blaine County Fairgrounds.     When Chinook High School held Parent Teacher Conferences (PTC) on Tuesday, April 16, the Senior Ag students held a Market Day.
