On May 7, the Chinook FFA Chapter held its 2020 FFA Banquet in a virtual format. During the video conference program, multiple awards were presented, accomplishments recognized, new members graduated into the Chapter, and another slate of officers installed to ensure that the traditions of the FFA are carried on. MSGA Shows Support for COOL Resolution HELENA, Mont. (May 13, 2020) - Today, Senators Jon Tester and Steve Daines signed onto a resolution to reinstate Country-of-Origin (COOL) labeling for pork and beef. The weather is getting nicer, and with people starting to open their businesses again, it makes for a nice change to the isolation we have been experiencing for the last 2 months. We are still closed to the public until sometime after Phase 3 begins. We are currently working on a plan for our Summer Reading Program. We will not be able to do programs like we normally do, so we are working to modify things to fit with the current situation. It is extremely important to keep kids reading throughout the summer to prevent the summer slide and even though our weekly programs will be modified, rest assured we will continue to encourage kids to read and participate in our modified programs. Turner Graduation 2020 took place in the Turner Park, following recommendations set by the Blaine County Health Department, this past Saturday, May 16, 2020. Graduating at the service were the seven Junior High Graduates and the two, 2020 Senior High Graduates. A welcome was given by Tony Warren, Superintendent of Turner Schools. Graduation ceremonies were a little different this year due to COVID-19. Each school still found a fun way to honor their seniors on graduation day.
