    Early last month, the Montana Flex2020 Task Force and the Montana Learn Task Force reported having completed their work and thanked Education Northwest for assisting in the compilation of their final reports.     Kourtney Hanson of Chinook will be competing for the title of Miss Montana 2020 July 23-25 in Glendive at the DCHS auditorium at 7PM nightly. This is rescheduled from June and approved with Covid-19 safe distancing and group gathering safety requirements. Each of the 13 candidates receives at least $950 in scholarships, in addition to leadership skills and lifelong friendships.     James Edward Lang, 74, beloved husband, step father and grandfather died of cancer, Thursday, June 25, 2020 at his home in Chinook with his wife by his side. James was born July 14, 1945 in Denver to Lloyd and Margaret Thompson Lang he attended school in Denver till the 10th grade then went into the military. James married Lynda Schilling on March 17, 2017 but they had been together for 17 years. He worked at Town Pump in Chinook for 17 years, and retired due to his health in 2020.     Just a reminder for you to renew your membership, cost is $10 a year. We have 2 seats on the Center Board that will need to be filled at the Annual Meeting on July 17. You must be a paid up member to vote.     We have been busy giving the place a face-lift with lots of cleaning and organizing. We have been keeping Wayne Hewitt busy this last couple weeks with painting. Wayne has painted four apartments, the dining room, and the kitchen. Also, had Overcast Restoration here a while back, shampoo all the carpets in the halls, furniture, living room and entryway.     The Chinook Golf course welcomed 68 golfers making up 34 two person teams on Saturday, June 27 as they competed in the 5th Annual Triple Play Golf Tournament. The format began with each team playing a best ball format for the first nine holes. They followed that with nine holes of alternate shot and concluded with a nine hole scramble.
