    The case concerning the poaching of ten deer in McCone Co. last fall has been settled in McCone Co. Justice Court. Two high school-aged males were found guilty on multiple wildlife violations for events that took place on Oct. 15, 2017, prior to the opening of general deer season. In this case, Region 6 Game Wardens confirmed a total of ten dead deer, most of which were shot with a shotgun using loads typically used for pheasants.     Brandon Leon Crasco, 43, a rancher, died at Ft. Belknap Indian Health Services of an apparent heart attack on July 14, 2018. Rosary was held at 7:00 P.M., Thursday, July 17 at the Kirkwood Memorial Chapel in Malta. Funeral services were 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, at the family ranch at Beaver Creek.     Gene Richard Dobrenz Sr, age 88 went to the great roundup in Heaven on July 11th, 2018. Gene was born June 30th,1930 in Augusta, Wisconsin to Esther (Livermore) and Henry Dobrenz. He was the only boy and the youngest child. Gene came to Montana alone when he was 15 to work with a relative on the Clack ranch.     Matthew Gurnsey, aka The Kilted Man, presented two programs last week at the Blaine County Library. In an afternoon performance he entertained a large number of children from the summer reading program and adults, then did a second show in the evening for a predominantly adult audience.     With summer half over, more than 50,000 watercraft have been inspected at Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks aquatic invasive species inspection stations around the state. “The wet spring delayed a lot of boating activity, but boaters are enjoying the water now that hot and dry weather is here,” said FWP’s AIS Bureau Chief Thomas Woolf. “Get out on the water and have fun but remember to stop at any open watercraft inspection station that you encounter in your travels.” To date, 12 boats with invasive mussels have been intercepted in Montana....
