Blaine County is known for a lot of things, from its vast agricultural and ranching enterprises, to a small-town community sense of helping one another whenever needed. The region is also home to some outstanding hunting opportunities. National Outdoor shows have shot on location in Blaine County throughout the years. Ted Nugent harvested a Buffalo on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation for a documentary, and numerous Whitetail and Mule Deer hunts have been filmed through the years, but Blaine...

For seven election cycles Johnson would run unopposed, holding the position for a total of 32 years. Her time in service to...
Thanksgiving is traditionally the start of the 'Giving Season' as it marks the beginning of the holiday season. The community members within the city of Chinook and its surrounding neighbors have been very giving through the years. Throughout each year the community comes together for various fundraiser benefits and a variety of activities to support its citizens. The Community Thanksgiving Dinners held every year since the early 1980's are a great example of that giving community avenue....

The group of 30 riders that...
I spent the last part of September in Glacier National Park at Lake McDonald and it was glorious as usual. Miracle of miracles, Going-To-The-Sun Road was open and it was showing fall foliage like I have never seen up there ever. Not only that but where the large forest fire burned last year in the vicinity of Baring Creek, there are views and vistas showing that have never been seen from the road before. It is simply awesome! While there, we stayed in cabin 6 at the Village Lodge and the views looking up at the Garden Wall and adjoining...

“Heavenly Father, help us remember that the jerk who cut us off in traffic last night is a single parent who worked nine hours that day and is rushing home to cook dinner, help with homework, do the laundry and spend a few precious moments with their children. Help us to remember the disinterested young person who can’t make change correctly is a worried 19-year-old college student, balancing their apprehension over final exams with the fear of not getting their student loans for next semester. Help us remember that the old couple walking ann...

The Hays Lodgepole Thunderbird football team fell to 1-6 on the season after a tough 50-40 loss to the Power-Dutton-Brady Titans this past Saturday at Sullivan field in Hays. The Thunderbirds record hardly resembles their ability to compete with anyone on the football field. With the exception of the contest against the Belt Huskies a few weeks ago and maybe the Cascade Badgers, the Thunderbirds have had a chance to win in the fourth quarter of every game. Saturday against the Titans, the Thunder...
The Chinook Sugarbeeter dropped their third straight contest this past Friday night as they hosted the Great Falls Central Catholic Mustangs in a Northern C Eight-man football clash. The 'Beeters honored their seniors during a halftime ceremony as they were playing in front of their hometown fans for the final time. The Sugarbeeters played a very solid 5-1 Mustang team toe to toe throughout the first half but we're unable to keep up with the Mustang offense after the break falling 46-20 to drop...

That has not happened for a while. It couldn’t have happened at a better time for Rex Ryan. That was his first win for the season and rumor had it that if he did not win the Patriots game he would be looking for a job! So, before this last round of games has been played let’s see who is where and what is what in the mighty NFL. New England is at the top of the A...
