  • Food Pantry Fundraiser Success at Eagles

    The Chinook Eagles Club hosted a fundraising dinner for the Blaine County Food Pantry this past Friday, October 14th. They served hamburger steak with mushrooms, onions and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls. They were able to raise a large amount of money for the food pantry, which will help go towards purchasing food as well as coordinating other outreach initiatives.     The 2017 American Cancer Society Relay for Life kicks off Friday, October 21st at 6pm at the Chinook Eagles Club. The Eagles are hosting a Spaghetti dinner to raise money for the Relay. Individuals and teams can also sign up at the dinner for the 2017 Relay for Life. This year, Blaine and Hill counties will be combining their efforts in the fight against cancer.   • Chinook Volunteer Fire Department serves community at Prevention Week Pancake feed

    The Chinook Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD) hosted a pancake feed this past Sunday, October 16, 2016. This annual community appreciation event has been going on for nearly 10 years. They cooked pancakes, eggs, and sausage for over 150 local residents. The lunch was provided for free but donations were gladly accepted.     The American Legion Auxiliary is asking for donations to help purchase flagpoles that will be erected at the Avenue of Flags at Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital.
