    The Chinook Skate Park development had a special visitor Saturday when Jeff Ament showed up to check out the progress. Ament is the bass player for the rock group Pearl Jam who is on a break right now before they head to Australia for two weeks. He is the chief benefactor to the skate park.     There will be an assortment of activities for young and old alike during the upcoming Halloween season. One of the first events will take place the weekend before Halloween. The Chinook Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Murder Mystery Weekend on October 25 and 26. The mystery has a 70's theme and centers around the apparent death of Mrs. Black.     Members from two local FFA Chapters attended the Northern International Livestock Exposition (NILE) this past week at MetraPark in Billings. In the NILE Meats Evaluation Competition Junior Division, Chinook saw two members gain top ten status: Gus Buck and Bryce Elliot. In addition, the Meats Team from the Big Flat was ranked 12th. These judging contests took place on Tuesday, October 15. From Chinook, Gus Buck scored 342 to take fifth place individually, and Bryce Elliot accumulated 330 points to rank ninth.     Chinook Cross Country ended the regular season on a very high note with Personal Records set by almost all runners at the Harlem Wildcat Invitational. Ashlyn Ford was the first to cross the finish line with a Personal Record of 18:28, over a minute ahead of the next finisher.
