  • USDA Invests $1.65 Million in Chinook Water Infrastructure

    USDA is providing Chinook with a $865,000 grant and a $789,000 loan to improve water distribution. The project will replace fire hydrants and valves, and construct a new bulk water station, improving the water flow and ability to fight a fire.     Many locals know Ken Finley as "the guy who gives away pumpkins for Halloween from his garden." For the last few years Finley has invited anyone, especially elementary school students and their families, to come out to his pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin for Halloween. She was born on October 4, 1933, in Hogeland, MT, to Roy and Mable Billmayer, the youngest of their five children. She grew up on the Big Flat and married Art Egbert in November 1950.
