FUN was had by all who attended! There were several teams in attendance for the 1st annual Murder Mystery weekend, whose purpose is to BOOST OUR LOCAL MERCHANTS. The theme for this one was the 1970's. Several participating merchants have told us how much fun they had participating in this one. Danial Cornell , fourth grade son of Dalton and Alyssa Cornell of Hogeland, received a Bible at services this past Sunday. The Bible was presented to him as a gift from the Hogeland WELCA. It was presented to him by WELCA Member, Elissa, Zellmer. Each year fourth grade students who belong to the American Lutheran Church receive a Bible as a gift. On October 30, 2024 Thomas Keith Anderson age 81 went home to be with the Lord. After 81 years of hard work and dedication to life Tom went to be with his savior after he finished chores one last time. Tom was born in Scobey, MT on December 30,1942 to his parents Oscar and Vera Anderson and was the sixth of 7 children. On Monday, October 21, Turner Public School students attended the second performance in the Big Sky Series curated by the Northeastern Arts Network. The group traveled to Dodson to hear The Lucky Valentines (TLV). TLV feature a husband and wife duo, native Montanans Shaun and Jamie Carrier, who currently reside in Fort Benton. The Chinook Sugarbeeters' Volleyball girls had an amazing weekend in the Divisional Tournament. The girls earned a 2nd place victory and a trip to the State Volleyball Tournament in Bozeman! The Chinook girls opened the tournament with Malta and beat them in four sets. The 'Beeters have had an amazing season thus far and have not let up on the pressure. The Chinook boys took to the field against the Flint Creek Titans. After an amazing win over the undefeated Valley Chrisitan football team, the 'Beeters came out with a ferocious start. The Titans wasted zero time gaining a lead on the 'Beeters, with a lead of 14-0 after the first half. The 'Beeter boys were locked in on pushing back the Titans. The Harlem Lady Cats Volleyball team entered the Northern B Divisional Tournament as the number 4 team out of the 2B. With their placing, the Lady Cat's took on the number one team, and eventual Divisional Champions, the Fairfield Eagles to begin tournament play.
