    The Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds began their second season under Head Coach Shakayla Whitecow in Dodson this past Friday against a very good Coyote team. The Thunderbirds held a slim margin throughout the contest but miscues late saw the Coyotes earn a heartbreaking 63-60 overtime win over the Thunderbirds.     The Turner Tornado Boys Basketball team has been hard at it preparing for the upcoming season. The Tornadoes have struggled through the years but have been making strides recently and look to add some more wins to their season total this year.     The Turner Tornado girls basketball team has experienced plenty of success recently but graduation and transfers have left the team with just seven girls on the roster. That doesn't mean they should be counted out though because these seven girls can play.     The Chinook Sugarbeeter wrestling team finds itself under new leadership for the first time in three decades. Long time Co-Head Coaches Perry Miller and Adam Tilleman stepped down this past spring and have turned over the reins to one of the schools most decorated alums.     The Harlem Wildcat and Lady Cat Wrestling teams were in Cascade this past Friday and Saturday competing in the Badger Invitational. A complete roster was not submitted to the Blaine County Journal by press time. Full results of the wrestlers that competed were received through trackwrestling.com and Kerry Johnson.
