    Frank Barber, a life long resident of Blaine County and a landowner 40 miles south of Chinook in the Bear Paw Mountains, successfully filled his Bull Elk tag on the final Saturday of the season. Frank had applied for a Land Owner Preference Elk Tag for several years and was finally granted one this season.     The Jr. High Tornadoes competed last weekend in tournament action. There was a Pep Rally held in their honor during the school week for the students, staff and community members to attend. A couple fun competitions were held and players introduced to the crowd.     The recent Pep Rally was a fun event for all the students, parents, and staff at Turner to attend. One of the activities that was done was a basketball competition mixed in with some fun which included spinning on a bat, shooting a free throw, running to the other side, taking a fruit and passing it under a chin, and finally ending up unfolding a frozen T-shirt and wearing it down to the other side of the gym to the finish line.     Tom and Lucy Fairbank were to Colorado over Thanksgiving to visit Chris and Richard Humphreys and family. Max and Kirsti had a late Thanksgiving in Great Falls with NellieCederberg, and Dale and Lynda Cederberg last week. Virginia McCracken had hunters at her home the week before Thanksgiving.     Sandy Beck attended the Christmas Tea in Turner on Sunday afternoon. Teresa Cornell spent the weekend in Helena to shop with friends. While there, she visited with Jacinta and Montana Hedstrom.     The second meeting of the Valley Clovers 4-H Meeting was called to order by president Brooke Elliott at 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 at Wallner Hall. There were 3 leaders, 24 members, and several guests present. Three new members have joined the 4-H club, Hadley and Kamry Gustitus, and Grace Buck. The club was responsible for setting up decorations for the 4-H Achievement Night which was held in October.
