The Turner 2019-2020 homecoming was held this past Wednesday at the Turner School. The festivity was kicked off with float presentations from grades 7-12. Children in grades K-2 pulled the float "wagons" for the classes presenting. Following the floats, a spaghetti supper was held in the school cafeteria followed by a community Pep Rally. The library board of trustees meets today for their monthly meeting at 4:15 in the library meeting room. This is the last week to participate in the library word cloud activity. Wednesday February 5th from 12:00 to 4:00 Kirk Mills will be at the library to do Census training. In Blaine County the Census jobs will pay $17.00 per hour and 58 cents per mile. Auditions for the Missoula Children’s Theatre (MCT) production of The Emperor’s New Clothes will be held at Monday, January 20, at 3:30 p.m. in the Meadowlark Gym. With competitors coming from as great a distance as that travelled by performers from Malta High School and those from Lincoln County High School in Eureka, Montana, nineteen schools were represented at the Great Falls Central Catholic New Year Invitational Debate, Speech, and Drama Meet. The Turner School celebrated the holiday season recently with a concert and a visit from Santa. This year the community was graced with a concert including grades Kindergarten through grade 8. Tuesday December 31st we will have Story Time at 10:30 a.m. and in the afternoon we will have a family movie. We will be showing Abominable at 3:00 p.m. All ages are welcome. Another successful hunt was had this fall by a Blaine County youth hunter. Halle Mitchell, 15 years old, recently shot this monster Whitetail Buck.
