The Chinook Senior Center has had plenty going on recently and this past Halloween it certainly was the place to be for a good time. The Blaine County Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting Monday October 30, 2023, at 4:30 p.m. The library will be participating in Trunk or Treat this year. The Blaine County Health Department is sponsoring the Trunk or Treat. Last October Gary and Beverly Jensen, traveling companions from Chester on several prior bus tours, called asking if I would help them organize a bus tour. The destination was the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in northern Kentucky, near Cincinnati. The Harlem Library is an affiliate of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Parents of children ages 0-5 are encouraged to register their children to receive a free book each month until the child’s fifth birthday. First Lady Susan Gianforte’s Treasure State Foundation supports this initiative to cover the cost. Thank you to everyone who came out to Finley’s Pumpkin Patch last Saturday. We had almost 300 people who came to choose a pumpkin! 96 kids signed up for our drawing, and Jett Nordboe was the lucky winner. September is Library Card Sign Up Month! If you don’t have a library card, you are missing out. The library will be hosting the Book Character Fun Run during the Sugarbeet Festival. Registration forms are available at the library. You can register up until 9:30 a.m. on September 23rd. Prizes will be awarded for 1st place in men’s, women’s, and youth (18 and under).
