    On Monday, December 16, the Chinook Chapter of the FFA held its Greenhand Degree dinner in the Chinook High School shop.     The Friends of the Harlem Library held their annual Wine & Cheese Fundraiser last Wednesday with proceeds going to projects being conducted throughout the year at the Harlem Library.   • Chronic wasting disease (CWD) sampling results continue to come in

    Samples from 25 deer harvested around the state tested positive for chronic wasting disease last week. The majority of the new positive samples were from animals harvested within CWD Management Zones, where the disease is known to exist. Two of the positive samples were from areas where the disease had not been previously detected. These include a mule deer doe harvested in hunting district 650 south of the Fort Peck Reservation, and a white-tailed buck harvested in HD 702 in Rosebud County.     The final results are in from the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Havre check station for the 2019 hunting season. The check station was open for eight weekends; from Oct. 12 (the open of general antelope) through Dec. 1 (the end of the deer/elk general season).     Agricultural producers can enroll in the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs, two popular safety net programs, for the 2019 crop year.     The Blaine County Fair will no longer compete with nor complement the Fourth of July celebrations of Blaine County citizens in 2020.     The Sweet Park Board announced last week that they have nearly reached their funding goal and should be able to purchase and install new playground equipment at the Sweet Park this summer if a few more dollars trickle in to the Playground Equipment Fund.     The 35th Montana Science Olympiad was held on Tuesday, November 26 in the Strand Union Building and other locations across Montana State University-Bozeman's campus.
