Eleanor Johnson Harmon Bickel turned 100 years old on September 16, 2015. She was born in Norma, ND on September 16, 1915, the first of four children. She moved with her family in 1928 to Hogeland, MT. She was in the first graduating class from Hogeland High School in 1933. She went on to college to receiver her college degree from Northern Montana College in Havre and for several years taught at various grade schools in Blaine County.
Eleanor married Eddie Harmon in 1940 and they lived on the farm for 28 years. They had two children; Linda and Don. Eddie passed away in 1968.
Eleanor married Bill Bickel in 1971 and they lived in Hamilton, MT until Bill's death in 2010. Eleanor moved to Havre into the Eagles Manor for 3 years and now resides at Care and Comfort Home in Havre.
Eleanor is very proud of her family. She has 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A birthday party was held in her honor at St. Judes Parish Hall on September 12 with friends and family members joining her. We wish Eleanor the happiest of birthdays and congratulate her!
