These three gentlemen have been instrumental in the annual Legion Post #109 Turkey Trap Shoot Day held in Turner for many years. VanVoast replied, We've been doing this for probably 50 years." Erickson stated, "We used to load shells by hand for the older guys dating way back to when we were just kids." Things have changed a lot since then but the love of a turkey shoot remains the same, for both the younger generation and the old. You never know what the weather will be like, But as Reed stated, "It was a beautiful day and a pretty good crowd showed up. A good time was had by all." If you wished not to shoot, you could come have a bowl of homemade stew and visit with friends. These three fellas were caught inside the club house reminiscing the days gone by and how things are stacking up for the day. Shown here are Lenny Erickson, Jack Van Voast, and Jim Reed.
