There will be a “Thanks for the Harvest” Community Church Service and meal on Thursday November 19 at the Hogeland Church. There will be a soup supper at 6 p.m., followed by the service at 7 p.m. Everyone in the community is invited to attend.
Gene and Susan Billmayer were to Havre on business on Thursday and picked up Emily and took her out for lunch.
The Big Flat Catholic youth were out and about in the community Sunday collecting food for the Harlem Food Bank. 1,395 pounds were collected along with 10 turkeys. Thanks to all who contributed money or food. It is great to know our community helped others out.
Wally Beck attended the Veterans Day program at the Turner school on Wednesday.
Kathy and Ed Zellmer were to Havre on Friday where they met up with Joely Hiniker and Melissa and had lunch together. Melissa was viewing MSU-Northern College as she is interested in attending there this fall.
Linda Hauge and Diana Maloney were out to see Mom and Dad Krass several times this week and helped them out.
Loretta Beck went to Havre with Merrilyn Billmayer and the ladies went out to lunch with Bobbie Brekke.
On Saturday, Caleb, Brady, and Gracie Zellmer stayed with Grandma Kathy and Grandpa Ed Zellmer while Mom went to Havre.
Wally and Loretta beck attended the Veterans Day dinner in Turner Wednesday evening.
The joint Lutheran Parish Church Council met in Turner on Sunday at the Lutheran Church.
On Friday, Crystal Grabofsky, Cassidy, Holly, Cooper and Lucy and Abby Grabofsky were over to Loretta Becks and had a “fun day” making “Oodles of Noodles.”
Hilary Richman stopped in to visit Mom and Dad Krass Sunday after the church meeting in Turner.
Ty Beck hung out with Grandma and Grandpa Beck Saturday afternoon and evening while his folks were at the basketball games.
Brandon Beck and Daniella Schilling visited and stayed the night at Kevin Becks on Friday. They had dinner Saturday with Wally and Loretta Beck.
Basketball games this week for the Jr. High Tornadoes will be at Box Elder on Wednesday. Game times will be at 5 p.m. for the girls and 6:15 p.m. for the boys. On Friday, Fort Benton will be in Turner and game times for the girls will be 4 p.m. and time for boys will be 5:30 p.m.
The Christmas Advent Tea will be held December 6 at 2 p.m. at the Turner Lutheran Church for all women and girls in the community. Come out and enjoy their program and lunch following.
We have had some really nice days and some cool nights this past week. Kind of unbelievable for mid-November. We’ll take all the nice weather we can, it shortens up the winter.
