'Beeters primed to make another title run, begin 2016 in Shelby

The Chinook Sugarbeeters stepped back on the mat for the first time in 2016 this past Saturday when the team competed in the Shelby Invitational.

The defending Class 'C' state champions used the holiday break to fine tune their mechanics, get a little healthier and prepare themselves mentally and physically for the stretch run with the goal of adding more gold to the trophy case this February.

The 'Beeters sent eight wrestlers out in Shelby. The format was a pool event where every wrestler got to wrestle three matches.

Pools were based as much as possible on experience and ability.
