Lois Mae Black Crow Falcon, 72, died Wednesday, January 6, at Couer d'Alene, Idaho.
Wake services will start Monday, January 11, at the St. Paul's Mission Recreation Center in Hays. It will continue Tuesday January 12, at the Red Whip Center in Fort Belknap, Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Wednesday January 13, at the Red Whip Center with burial in the Ft. Lois was born on August 27, 1943 in Hays, Montana at the home of her parents, Joseph Blackcrow Sr. and Rosie Shortman Blackcrow. She attended Mission School in Hays, MT. Lois married Eugene Doney, Sr. in 1958. They had seven children, Eugene Jr., Alice "Sissy", Pete, Aloysius "Dexter", Cynthia "Cindy", Alex and Raelene "Rose". Then Lois married Lee Falcon in 1988. Together they raised two grandchildren Lydia Mae and Johnna.
Lois was lovingly nicknamed "Bussoots" growing up, which stuck with her. She will be remembered for her contagious laughter, telling jokes and helping those who needed it. She loved her family, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lois is survived by her brothers Joseph "Fiddles" (Mary Agnes) Blackcrow Jr. and Mark "Higgen" (Carmelita) Blackcrow of Hays, MT, Phillip "Buzz" (Leona "Sissy") Blackcrow of Fort Belknap, MT, George "Zot" Blackcrow of Washington; sisters Phyllis Shortman Moss of Fort Hall, ID, Eileen Blackcrow Bradley of Havre, MT, Gloria "Ouzie" Blackcrow, Mary "Cuddy" Blackcrow Bigby and Nora "Eagle" Blackcrow of Fort Belknap, MT; sons Eugene (Kelly) Doney, Pete Doney, Dexter Doney, and Alex Doney of St. Regis, MT; daughters Alice (Ken) Norton of Zortman, MT, Cindy (Tracy) Chandler of Malta, MT, and Rose (Virgil) Doney of Fort Belknap, MT; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rosie Blackcrow and brothers James Edwin "Wimpy" Shortman, Aloysius "Puny" Blackcrow; nieces Quannah Steele, Karen "Kitty" Small; nephews William John "Billy" Moss, Quentin Joseph "Baby Son" Blackcrow, Joseph Blackcrow III; great granddaughters Leeda Nance and Kay'Lee Chandler.
