Thunderbirds fall in Ft. Benton

The Hays/Lodge Pole girls basketball team remains winless on the season following losses Friday and Saturday to District 9C opponents.

Friday the girls were defeated in Turner 39-19. Sophomore Miquela Perez scored eight points in the contest. Freshman Latasha Kirkaldie added five including a first quarter triple.

Saturday the girls took to the road to face the Fort Benton Longhorns in another District 9C clash.

Fort Benton started fast and the young Thunderbirds were not able to stay with the more experienced Longhorns. The result was a 60-19 win for Fort Benton.

Kirkaldie drained a pair of triples in the contest and finished with eight points.

The Thunderbirds will be home Saturday to face the Box Elder Bears.
