We've Got The County Covered
The still young but very experienced Turner Tornado girls varsity basketball team went 2-1 last week defeating Dodson 50-36 Tuesday night. Friday the girls took down the Hays/Lodge Pole Thunderbirds 39-19 at home. Saturday they fell to the Chinook Sugarbeeters on the road 52-34.
The Tornadoes rely on four year starters, junior Ella Billmayer and junior Rennay Watkins to guide the team this season and can rely on second year starters freshman Rylee Conlan and Raegan Conlan along with freshman Melanie Watkins for big contributions on the court.
Sophomores Jaye Anderson and junior Charley Anderson along with senior Tyler Anderson can fill their roles while eighth grader Sarah Billmayer has had a positive impact on the court as well.
The continuity has led the Tornadoes to being a competitive team that is on the verge of taking the next step in the tough District 9C.

Sarah Billmayer buried a third quarter three pointer as Turner maintained a 35-24 advantage entering the final eight minutes of action.
