We've Got The County Covered

Chinook high school National Honor Society, Business Professionals of America host January Blood Drive

On Tuesday, January 7thth the Red Cross Blood Drive was held at the Chinook High School Auditorium with Elizabeth Hodgson as the coordinator for the drive. We, the Red Cross staff and I, are all much obliged for all the work Lizzi did. She would like to send a shout out to all who donated the prizes and time to the blood drive, allowing it to work so smoothly. We had 42 people present to the drive and 38 productive units collected on a goal of 45.

Donna Murdy, Patti Treftz, and Judy Johnson were at the Registration table. The canteen was hosted by the the CHS and BPA. They enlisted the help of many in the community to provide all the wonderful sandwiches, condiments, and sweet treats as well as door prizes which were provided by various Chinook community members and businesses. The North Central Montana Cattlewomen also provided gift certificates for beef, something they do for each drive. Finley's Food Farm donated the beverages and paper products for the blood drive as they do for each drive.

Prizes were awarded to: Tavin Schneider, Kasie McIntosh, Art Tomlinson, Louise Nissen, Diana Reishus, James Warburton, Donnell Sirucek, Levi Williams, and Chase Jamieson

A 14 gallon pin was awarded to Ray Reid. We welcomed four first time donors: Donnell Sirucek, Levi Williams, Chase Jamieson, and Chris Swett-Mundlin.

The next blood drive is scheduled for Tuesday, March 8th at Wallner Hall from 12:30PM to 6PM.
