Roberta Quintana awarded Johnson Foundation Scholarship

Greg Drummer, ANC Business Instructor, and ANC President Carole Falcon-Chandler were happy to award Roberta Quintana with a $6,000 scholarship from the Johnson Foundation. Roberta is as an ANC graduate who is currently attending the University of Montana in Missoula, majoring in Business Management. President Carol Falcon-Chandler congratulated Roberta, “Congratulations on receiving this scholarship. We are proud of you and will always be here for you and all our students.”

Aaniiih Nakoda College is one of two colleges associated with the Johnson Scholarship Foundation that can provide scholarships to students who have graduated from ANC with a degree in business with a 3.3 GPA or higher. The students then move on to a 4-year college, majoring in business, while maintaining a 2.75 GPA or higher.

ANC has been given a total of $6,000 per academic year to use for these students. Roberta is the sole recipient simply because other students who have continued on to a four year business program have either completed the program or changed majors. “I’m looking forward to next year when we expect some of our current students to successfully continue at a four year institution.” Drummer stated.
