The Harlem Lady Cat girls basketball team had a challenging weekend on the court as they fell to top ranked Malta Friday 70-19 Thursday afternoon. Saturday the girls were beaten by the 10-2 Wolf Point Wolves 47-29.
The M-ettes took control from the get go and never let Harlem get started in their game on Thursday.
Saturday the Wolves took a 11-2 lead into the second quarter but Harlem showed some competitive spirit in battling back before the half outscoring the Wolves 12-10 in the frame but still trailed at intermission 21-14.
The Wolves won the third quarter 13-6 and the fourth 13-9 leading to a 47-29 District 2B victory.
Senior Brooke LeValdo paced the offense with 9 points while freshman Skylee Dirden added eight in the contest.
Harlem falls to 1-5 in District 2B play and 5-7 overall as the season begins to wind down with the District tournament just four weeks away.
The girls will travel to Rocky Boy Friday and host the Cut Bank Wolves Saturday.
