Happy February, everyone! We have a lot going on this month, so I better get started.

The Hallmark movie “A Taste of Romance’” will be on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 1 p.m. Snacks will be provided.

We have a new activity called Senior Exercise that will be starting on Thursday, Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. Carmen Van Voast from Spring Back Therapy will be the instructor. We have quite a few participants signed up already. Come try out this special class tailored just for seniors.

We will also be playing Bingo on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m. Last week’s Jackpot Blackout winner was Don Durocher.

On Friday, Feb. 5, we will be honoring John Shelstad, our 2015 “Senior of the Year.” The presentation will be right before lunch. If you plan to eat, please call the center before 10 a.m.

Shanghai Rummy is played every Tuesday. Last week’s winner was Mike Randall.

There will be a meeting on Monday, Feb. 8 at 8 a.m. for Chinook Senior Center Board members.

We will be celebrating our Valentine’s Day Party on Friday, Feb. 12 with a special menu from the cook. The Kitchen Band will be playing and after lunch we will play cards, so bring your special valentine!

Don’t forget the Cancer Support Group meets on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at the center at 11:30 a.m. Dana Springer of Spring Back Therapy will present a self balance test and fall prevention. Call us at 357-4129 for dinner reservations.
