'Beeters, Wildcats ready as Chinook hosts Northern B/C Wrestling Divisional

The Chinook Sugarbeeters will be the host school for the ever tough Northern B/C Wrestling Divisional this Saturday.

This past week in Malta the Sugarbeeters and Wildcats finished in a tie for seventh place with 53 points each.

With divisionals this week the 'Beeters thought it was a great time to give some athletes a rest, "We needed to get healed up a bit, weather its injury or the flu thats going around," stated co-head coach Perry Miller.

"It's go time, practice is over. It's time to lay it all on the line ," added Miller. "The kids looked really sharp so far in practice and they know what needs to be done."

The 'Beeters clearly are a favorite to repeat as Class C state champions as they return all their points from a championship season a year ago.

This team however has visions of competing very well amongst all the Class B and C schools, "We're going so step on the mat and be ready to battle till the end we're not going to leave anything to chance. We need to get out their and take care of business and I think we will be very happy where we end up," concluded Miller.

Chinook currently has five wrestlers ranked and Harlem one so with the top four in each weight class advancing to the State Tournament in Billings next week, both schools should be well represented.

Junior Tate Niederegger is a state champion already and is number one at 138 pounds. Chinook senior Jake Norby is number three at 152 and was on the podium a year ago. Chinook senior Derek Bell is third at 160 while 'Beeter senior Kenny Pruttis is number one at 170. Senior Jesse Dannels is fourth at 182 and Harlem's Reece Hutton sixth at 205
