A patron of the library is organizing a game night in the library meeting room. The first event will be Monday February 22nd at 7:00 p.m. and will continue to be held on Monday evenings. All ages are welcome to attend. There will be a variety of board games available for all age levels. If you have a game you would like to bring, you are encouraged to do so. This would be a great event to bring the whole family to or just yourself. The library is providing the space, some of the games and promoting the event.

Are you one of those patrons whose books are overdue? Do you get annoyed when the library calls to remind you your items are overdue? We can help you with that! The library has a service called Shoutbomb and it is fabulous! Shoutbomb allows you to receive text notifications when you have a hold available, have items that are due soon and overdue items. Texts will only be sent when activity on your account triggers a message and will usually arrive around 9:00 a.m. It allows you to keep up-to-date with your library account activity on your mobile phone. Note that while the library does not charge a fee to use the Shoutbomb service, your mobile phone service plan standard text messaging rates apply. Sign up is simple. Just log on to our website for instructions or pickup an instruction slip the next time you are in.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what’s going on!
