We've Got The County Covered

Blaine County Library

The Blaine County Library Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting today at 11:00 a.m. in the library meeting room.

Tech help will be Monday February 29th. If you need help learning to use MontanaLibrary2Go, would like to sign up for Shoutbomb, have a Facebook or an e-mail question, Tech Help day is the time to get the answers to those questions.

All Federal tax booklets and forms are now available at the library. Montana tax booklets are available here as well. If you need a form we don’t have, you can get it anytime at http://www.irs.gov. Copies are 20 cents a page.

Story Time is Tuesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. All kids are welcome to join whatever fun things Kelsey has planned. LEGO Club is Tuesday afternoons from 3:30 to 4:30 and is open to grades K though 6.

A patron of the library is organizing a game night in the library meeting room. Game night will be Mondays at 7:00 p.m. There will be a variety of board games available for all age levels. If you have a game you would like to bring, you are encouraged to do so. This would be a great event to bring the whole family to or just yourself. The library is providing the space, some of the games and promoting the event.

“A Girl’s Guide to Moving On” by Debbie Macomber, is an inspiring novel of friendship, reinvention, and hope that affirms the ability of every woman to forge a new path, believe in love, and fearlessly find happiness. If you like thrillers, we have several available this week. “Midnight Sun” by Joe Nesbo is book 2 in the Blood on Snow series. “The Girl in the Red Coat” by Kate Hamer is a gripping debut novel that will keep you on the edge of your seat to the end. A vanished child, a family in turmoil, and a fateful phone call that brings the torments of the past into the harrowing present are the spellbinding elements of psychological suspense you will find in “She’s Not There” by Joy Fielding.

Are you one of those patrons whose books are overdue? Do you get annoyed when the library calls to remind you your items are overdue? We can help you with that! The library has a service called Shoutbomb and it is fabulous! Shoutbomb allows you to receive text notifications when you have a hold available, have items that are due soon and overdue items. Texts will only be sent when activity on your account triggers a message and will usually arrive around 9:00 a.m. It allows you to keep up-to-date with your library account activity on your mobile phone. Note that while the library does not charge a fee to use the Shoutbomb service, your mobile phone service plan standard text messaging rates apply. Sign up is simple. Just log on to our website for instructions or pickup and instruction slip the next time you are in.

There is always something going on at the library. Check us out on Facebook or look us up on our website at http:www.blainecountylibrary.org for up to date information about what’s going on!
