Harlem's Spring Golf Banquet set for April 2

The Harlem Golf Association has set its annual fundraiser to help support operation of the golf course for Saturday, April 2, 6-10pm at the Harlem VFW Club. The event will include a roasted pork dinner with all the trimmings.

During the evening several prizes will be raffled, including a handmade chest by local woodworker Charlie Brekke. According to Ralph Schneider, with the Golf Association, a Howa Model 1500 .22-250 complete rifle package, with mounted scope was donated and will also be among the raffled items.

Diners will also have a chance to win a door prize for an individual golf course membership. There will be additional auctions and raffles during the event. Some of the items to be raffled can be seen at Richman Insurance in Harlem. Raffle tickets and banquet tickets can be purchased at Richman's. Schneider said banquet tickets and raffle tickets will also be available at a booth during the upcoming Harlem Seed Show.

The Harlem Golf course serves golf players from Harlem, Fort Belknap, Chinook, Havre, Malta and other areas in the region. Schneider said, "The golf course has reasonable rates and is very well maintained." The Harlem Golf Association invites locals to come for an evening of fun to help support an important part of the Harlem community.
