“Save Those Seeds” is the next Learn at the Library program on Monday, April 11, 7 P.M. in the meeting room. Hillary Maxwell will share information on reading a seed catalogue for zone, fertility, and other factors. We will also learn how to determine the difference between hybrid, non-hybrid, and GMO seeds. Hillary will also tell how to save your most viable seeds and how to become involved in a community garden club. If you are a beginning or experienced gardener you won’t want to miss this event. This is a family friendly program appropriate for all ages.
The new Book Club selection is “The Whistling Season” by Ivan Doig. You may pick up your copy today at 4 P.M. in the meeting room.
The library will celebrate National Library Week, April 11-15. Please stop by and complete an interest survey that will help the board of trustees and staff to develop the new long-range strategic plan. Your name will go into a drawing for a door prize. Also on Thursday, April 14, from 3:00 to 7:00 P.M. the library will host an open house to celebrate the completion of our remodelling project. Stop by for refreshments!
