Big Flat 4H March report

The March meeting of the Big Flat 4H Club was called to order by President Reece Hutton on March 20th, 2016 at 5:00pm at the Turner Legion Hall. Rennay Watkins led the American pledge and Reece Hutton led the 4H pledge. Roll call was held and there were 7 members and 3 leaders present. Secretary Ashlee Schroder read the minutes of the previous meeting and minutes were approved as read. Brooke Reed gave a Treasurer’s report and Rennay Watkins gave a report on the Seed Show display. Our entry placed 3rd.

Old business discussion was held on the planters for Main Street. All businesses have once again agreed to help with the watering for the summer. We need to have a new sign made for the new owners of the bar. Will check and see if Garrett Maloney can make another.

New business discussion was on whether we wanted to donate a new sign for the Beef barn. It was voted to have one made for each end of the barn. Also discussed was having Ben Hauptman present a Livestock Quality Assurance workshop at our April meeting. We will have a potluck afterwards and invite other clubs to attend.

Hilary gave a leaders report on what the Cloverbuds have been doing. Announcements were given on important upcoming events and the meeting was adjourned. The April meeting will be held on the 17th at 2:00pm. Andersons are the hosts for that meeting.
