The Chinook golf team has competed in just a few tournaments so far this season but have already qualified five boys and two girls for the state tournament next month.

Senior Ian McIntosh qualified the firs meet of the season while firing a personnel best 79. Senior Derek Bell qualified in the same meet with a round of 88.

Junior Kade Friede also qualified the opening meet with a score of 90.

This past weekend the 'Beeters sent a small contingent Friday where sophomore Jacob Huckabee fired an even qualifying score of 100.

Harlem Wildcat Curtis Humphries scored a round of 91 to finish in a tie for fifth place. The Wildcats took third as a team with a score of 424.

Sophomore Carrie Hofer became the first 'Beeter girls to punch her ticket to the state meet.

Hofer playing just her second round, eclipsed the qualifying standard of 120 or better by recording a 116. Hofer's score was also good enough to place seventh in the tournament.

Saturday the 'Beeters took up another small contingent but played very well finishing fourth in the boys team race while being without McIntosh and Friede.

Bell earned a sixth place finish with a round of 83. Senior Jake Norby recorded a personal best round of 89 in qua lifying for the state tournament.

On the girls side it was senior Allie Skoyen leading the 'Beeter effort with a round of 107. Skoyen was a state qualifier a season ago and will be headed back again her senior year.
