The Sugarbeeter boys captured yet another team title this past Thursday in Malta as they won the Whitewater Invitational with a team score of 248. Senior Ian McIntosh finished first with a 79, junior Kade Friede was second with a 81 while senior Derek Bell finished fourth with a 84. Sophomore Jacob Huckabee rounded out the team. For the girls, sophomore Carrie Hofer finished fifth with a sold round of 119.
The high school golf season has reached its midway point and the Chinook Sugarbeeters are playing better and better each time out.
The boys led by senior Ian McIntosh claimed another team title winning the Whitewater Invitational, which was played on the Malta course.
The 'Beeter score of 248 easily outdistance the runner up Malta Mustangs who finished 37 strokes back with a 285.
McIntosh matched his personal best round by firing a 79 to win the individual title for the boys. McIntosh went out in 40 and was in with a 39 to complete his round.
