Chinook had seven golfers medal at their Invitational, they are (L-R), senior Derek Bell, senior Jake Norby, head coach Mike Seymour, senior Ian McIntosh, sophomore Jacob Huckabee, senior Allie Skoyen, sophomore Carrie Hofer and freshman Ashley MacLeod.
The Chinook Sugarbeeters hosted their own invitational to end the regular season for high school golf.
The Sugarbeeters had seven medalist on the day including four boys and three girls.
The 'Beeter boys captured the team title with a score of 270 while the girls finished third with a stroke total of 348.
Senior Derek Bell shot a 40-46 86 to win the individual race for the boys. Senior Ian McIntosh was one stoke back with a round of (44-43) 87.
Senior Jake Norby finished fourth recording a round of (44-53) 97. Sophomore Jacob Huckabee found himself in the top ten as well after firing a (55-48) 103 to finish seventh.
Bell, McIntosh, Norby, Huckabee and junior Kade Friede will represent Chinook at the state C in Hamilton.
For the girls it was sophomore Carrie Hofer going out in 56 and coming in with a 56 for a stroke count of 112 to finish fifth for Chinook.
Senior Allie Skoyen was sixth with a 116 (55-61). Freshman Ashley MacLeod punched her ticket to the state tournament with qualifying score of 120 (60-60).
The Sugarbeeters have experience at the state meet with Bell (All-State), McIntosh and Friede playing last spring for the boys. Skoyen experienced playing at state last season for the girls.
Norby was an alternate a year ago and was able to experience the schedule of the state meet. Huckabee, Hofer and MacLeod will experience state for the first time.
The Class B Divisional was scheduled for this week and results will be included in next weeks paper. The state C is being conducted in Hamilton May 16-18.
